Gloom Datasets API

Datasets from SEC filings and public agencies over one REST API. Every response names its sources.

How it works

Create an account, choose a plan, create a key, call the API. Plans and prices are on Pricing. Start with the Quickstart.

Base URL

https://api.gloom.sh/v1, the versioned namespace of the Gloom API for outside clients. Dataset routes sit directly under it, such as /v1/kpis/AAPL. Gloom Datasets's own catalog, account and reference routes sit under /v1/datasets. Every route answers JSON. Send a key with each call, see Authentication and keys.

Every response

A dataset call returns data and meta.

  • data is the dataset's own payload: rows, series or filings, with the filing link or source record where the dataset has one.
  • meta names the dataset and its sources, with attribution and licence, plus asOf, historyStarts, coverage and lastUpdated.
  • A value the stored data cannot establish is null. It is never filled in.

Without a key

These need no key and no account. Each live dataset has a static example response with synthetic values, 30 requests an hour per address:

/v1/datasets lists the live datasets and /v1/datasets/cost prices a call before you make it. Neither needs a key.
